Main ingredients

The main components of blueberry extract include anthocyanins, flavonols, proanthocyanidins, terpenoids, phenols, polysaccharides, pectin, tannins, arbutin, vitamin C and B vitamins, etc.

Nutritional and medicinal ingredients

Cranberry fruit contains 2.16g protein, 0.16g fat, 5.7g carbohydrate, 12mg vitamin, 2.2g fruit acid and 6.5g red pigment per 100g fresh food. Also containing reducing sugar 6.2%, sucrose 0.6%, total sugar 6.8%, organic acids 2.2%. Leaves contain tannin, arbutin, ursolic acid and a variety of catechins.

Process flow

Most anthocyanins contained in cranberry are stored in the cytoplasm of peel cells, so the raw materials must be broken first during extraction, and the wall breaking efficiency roughly determines the extraction rate. At present, most of the extraction methods used in industrial production are solvent extraction, ultrasonic extraction and enzymolysis extraction. As for the purification methods, the application of macroporous resin is more important.
